NFL · Season · Best record in NFL
Steichen's scheme, Barkley, and the eighth-easiest schedule — Hurts with real play calling is worth +1600 for the #1 seed.
The Eagles are a strong value play at +1600 to finish with the best record in the NFL. The addition of offensive coordinator Shane Steichen, who previously got the best out of Jordan Love, should do the same with Jalen Hurts. Steichen's system thrives on pre-snap motion and spreading the ball around, and Philadelphia's receiver room, while not having a bonafide alpha, is perfectly built for that approach. The signing of McKay Lemon addresses attacking the middle of the field, which was a previous weakness. Up front, the Eagles still have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL in terms of depth, and Saquon Barkley gives them arguably the best running back in the game. A more efficient offense that stays on the field longer should directly help the defense, which should be a lot better than it was in 2025 because of that. They also have the eighth easiest schedule and not much competition in the NFC East, so the path to the number one seed is there. The biggest thing is Jalen Hurts buying into a new offensive coordinator this early. We've seen when he has competent play calling he's one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. At +1600 this is a high confidence bet.
